Diary: 2011
This year I did a few stick tests after I've had twinges, but no results, although the sticks are a bit dated??
On the twinges, they happen when I get stressed. Having been a stressy personal all my life, (nay killing spree) I'm not that aware that I'm stressed until I get the twinges.
So I usually ease off when I feel them, but still am concerned that a) I get so stressed and don't mange to avoid those situations and b) as to what the twinges are in terms of nerves and chemicals etc.
Ok for 2011 into the final Mayan year.
Diary: November
OK! November wasn't the best month, nothing serious but nothing good. The twinges have returned which is a worry and th overall test for haem in the pee were not as good as hoped for. So a dissapointing period.
16th November: Despite still feeling twingie, going to town yesterday and eating crap and coppicing and sawing wood today the results are clear in terms of haem but there were casts in the pee.
15th November: Nope! Things are a bit twingie lately and there are markers to show for it.
So November hasn't been as good as was expected.
9th November: A couple of days back at the ranch and things are settling down to zero marker. So apples may be better than you think, except for the teeth. So back to coppicing, wood cutting, leave collecting and compost building.
7th November: I've just spent a couple of nights with a friend as she wanted company going to the local authority and there was plumbing being carried out whilst she was at work. The main problem is that I got stressed out a couple of times, laughably over computer programming/application issues which brought on twinges and subsequent blood in the pee. I'm hoping that a week on the land and it will go away. The question that arises is how does stress cause this. My thinking is that certain hormones or chemicals are produced which are an irritant to a sensitive or damaged system.
Nearly every time this occurs it is a slight burning sensation to the left of the lower abdomen, which I associate with the left kidney to bladder ureter.
3rd November: Yeap! it's not the 5th yet but BANG! goes my hope for this month to be the first with no blood in the pee.
However I was expecting it a bit as I felt I strained myself cutting wood and pulling up small trees yesterday. Could feel a twinge? Had I done a test yesterday the results may have been more alarming. As it is there was only a small dot showing as non-haemolysis marker, so I may do another test later just to confirm. Its also worth noting that it was the first early morning pee after eating a fair bit more yesterday including some beans (Adzuki and Mung)
Diary: September
16th Sept 14:00
Still slightly twingie and more of a marker, with acidic pH and a weird brown ketone marker. Eating not so well and working fairly hard etc. Will try and sort food better for two days and drink cleavers. ![]()
16th Sept 14:00
For the rest of September I intend to use the Uritest sticks as the monitoring of nitrites and leukocytes for a sign of infection or ought else has been uneventful.
The problem is that I have been used to very low or zero readings which I think are a product of using the mission sticks. This sense of things being ok and getting better have been a major part of my happiness and thence defence.
Today as anticipated the reading was slightly positive. There were indications of non-haem but very light, same as 6th Sept.
Update on the twinges which have been absent for months. They came back a few times over the last week and I think it may be due to an acidic pee. Whilst using the Mission sticks I had a regular highly alkaline pee except two days ago when I clearly felt something was amiss.
6th Sept 11:19
Using the Uristick again I find a light marker. The overall tone is off and there is almost a non-haem dot or two.
5th Sept 13:26
- pH The very high(alkaline) for a week or two or more. That's with the Mission sticks which I thought had a low reading compared to the Uristicks. The Uristick gives the same reading.(7.5 to 8)
- protein There has been a notable marker albeit at its lowest level of (0 to 15 g/Lt)on Mission, whilst the Uristick gives a negative reading.
- non-haem There is also a small marker on the Uristick whilst there is none on the Mission.
- Leukocytes gives >70 marker after a few more minutes.
1st Sept 09:26
Did a Leukocyte and Nitrite test this morning and they were both negative. I didn't do the blood as early morning is often unrepresentative due to the bladder storing overnight, although that's what I relied upon to show up any infection.
Also the tingling has all but gone, and the urine passed more easily, and in quantity: so maybe there was a blockage?
Having obtained some test sticks with Leukocytes and Nitrite options the next first two weeks shall contain results of those also.
In the few times I have tested there has been some Leukocyte positive markers.
The Twinges
Its about time I wrote about them as they have been quite a focus.
There seems to have been four stages.
- Before I noticed the haematuria it felt more like a case of bloat after eating too much, which to some degree it was. However it wasn't the full story.
- Then for a short period they became more butterfly like and were accompanied by a slight disorientation, and followed by obvious gross haematuria.
- Next followed the prolonged period of some two months or more of a cold feeling just about and maybe to the left of the bladder area. A bit as if maybe some nerves were healing. Although it would come and go, almost in sync with eating it didn't sync with any passing of blood visible or otherwise. It conveniently started just around the time I started using herbs, although I can't really ally it to that . It also stopped a day or two before I finished a specific TCM, some three or four days ago.
- So now I'm in a stage where it's infrequent as I though there was an odd lighter feeling, only once or twice since
July 7th
Just a short note to say the twinges are fairly evident lots of the time but as noted about they are not the cold ones I used to have. I'm also not drinking at all so I'd better change that and see what happens.
