Diary: July
This month will be a defining month. Initially I have to persuade the professionals and family that I am on the case. This will be helped if by the end of the month there is no more bleeding. If the twinges go away that would signal another level of healing.
This month so far -:- 21st July
- Last visit to the G.P. (17th July)
Dr M wouldn't agree to me having another cytology test in a month or two. She said she knows enough and a cystoscopy would be the only definitive test. I did get the cytology results which I will comment on elsewhere - Aches and twinges
I've had aches in the area of the left ureter or kidney since 7th July. For the last week they have been rather weak but noticeable on occasion. It does tend to make me consider stones. The 'twinges' have all but gone and I can hardly remember having any for weeks. - DIY cytology requires:-
-:- Obtaining the slides from the last 'official' test;
-:- Querying the process used in test;
-:- Buying the microscope and paraphernalia;
-:- Setting up a 'lab';
-:- Waiting to ensure things have settled a bit so I don't feel I'm rushing things.
-:- Buying a centrifuge;
-:- Replicating the test
